Coleman Coolers Make Camping Trips Bear-able

Imagine that you’re putting out your campfire with water, which you used to cook a delicious dinner of fried fish. Suddenly, you spot a huge Grizzly Bear, standing on its back feet, a few feet in front of you. Grrr! You stand up slowly and then freeze like a statue. Step-by-step, the bear walks closer to you…But then it walks past you, towards your uncovered Coleman cooler. The Grizzly pokes its head into the cooler and retrieves its catch of the day: a foot-long salmon.

When camping, remember that wild bears aren’t like Yogi Bear. Instead of taking your picnic basket, wild bears could take your life! Following some basic advice can prepare you for a camping trip as well as an fhi flat iron can prepare you for the day.

Think like a bear
As camping and residential areas push deeper into the wilderness, the worlds of bears and humans will continue to clash. Bears annually do a significant amount of damage to human campground property. Though they rarely attack humans, it could result in injury or even death. Still, certain human behavior can allow you to enjoy your camping trip after using one of the fhi hair straighteners, while living in harmony with the huge furry creatures:

1. Do not attract bears. As the saying goes, “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.” Bears might not be attracted to the lovely work that your Chi Flat Iron did, but they are attracted to anything they can eat, or anything with a strong scent. For campers, that mainly includes food and garbage. You can keep bears away by taking these steps:
• When going hiking or camping with your children, always keep an eye on them, and teach them what steps to take if they meet a bear.
• After cooking and eating, clean up your Coleman grill, all cooking utensils, any scrap pieces of food, and even the clothing you wore while cooking!
• Though your fhi flat iron is bear-proof, secure perishable foods in sturdy, bear-resistant Coleman coolers, and all food in the trunk of your car or truck. If you cannot store food in a vehicle or building, place it in a tree that is at least 10 feet above ground, a minimum of four feet from the trunk, and atop a branch that has a diameter less than four inches.
• Secure all garbage bags and place lids over garbage cans. Never burn or bury extra food, as bears can actually pick up its scent.

2. Do not feed bears. Bears naturally fear humans. But once you feed a bear, the bear will create a link between all humans, and food. So when the natural fear of humans is gone, it is more likely that the creatures could become more violent towards humans.

3. Do not flee from bears. Bears are natural predators, so if you run from them it may seem natural for them to pursue you. Plus, they’re faster than humans are. It’s better to be standing, face the bear, make subtle eye contact with it, and provide it enough room to walk around you. Give yourself a chance to return home and use one of the FHI Runway Iron.

4. Do not move towards bears. Bears generally dislike conflicts. Give the bear enough room to maneuver around you to, to escape.

In today’s world, the world of humans and wild animals seem to be constantly merging. But you can still bear-proof your camping trip, using tools such as Coleman coolers. Keep your camping trip fun and safe, so you can return home to the luxury of your fhi hair straightener.
